Trim Make it Two in a Row

A great night was enjoyed in Castletown for the League finals on 21st August 2018. Navan A played Navan D for the 3rd & 4th places with Navan D winning out on the night.

Trim and Royal Meath played fantastic pitch & putt but the more experienced Trim side were in command from the off winning the two doubles. There were lots of spectators from many of our clubs and afterwards all enjoyed a lovely supper.

Thank you to James and Noreen, Brendan, Gerry and all the gang. Chairman Johnny Hughes presented the prizes and congratulated all the teams for the sporting manner all games were played.

Well done Trim.

Saturday 18th Aug 2018 saw two Meath Juveniles claim National titles in Fermoy Co. Cork in the National Juvenile Strokeplay Championships. Sophie Farnan (Skryne) won the National U-16 Girls title and Evan Carry (Castletown) won the National U-16 Boys title.

This is the first National Juvenile title for the Skryne club while this was Evan's third National U-16 Strokeplay title in a row. Evan has become only the second player in history to do three-in-a-row in the National Boys Strokeplay.

Evan is now the holder of the National U-16 Strokeplay, National U-16 Matchplay, Leinster U-16 Strokeplay & Leinster U-16 Matchplay titles.

For the first time ever, the National Boys Strokeplay, the National Boys Matchplay and the National Girls Strokeplay championship have all been won in the same year by players from the same county - Congratulations to both Sophie and Evan on their historic wins this weekend.
