The Meath County Board Charity Open Scotch Foursomes takes place from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October in Ratoath Pitch and Putt Club.


There will be a raffle over the course of the weekend also.


As this is a charity event we hope it will be well supported and thanks to Ratoath for allowing the Co. Board the use of their course.

The Meath Mixed was played in Navan on Sunday 16th September 2018. We thank thank Navan Pitch and Putt Club for the excellent condition of the course for this championship. The results were as follows:


Winners (36 Nett): Eamon Gibney (Castletown) & Annette Dooner (Oldcastle)

36 Gross: Paddy Kelly & Bridie Cummins (Trim)

18 Nett: Sandra Connor & Danny Fitzpatrick (Navan)

18 Gross: Kathleen Geraghty & Francie Gorman (Skryne)


Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone for taking part. Eamon Gibney (Castletown) now holds all Meath titles for 2018, Meath Strokeplay, Meath Matchplay and the Meath Mixed. Great achievement.

The Meath Matchplay was played on Saturday 1st September & Sunday 2nd September in Navan & Oldcastle. There were some very close matches throughout the weekend providing great entertainment for the spectators. The final results were as follows:


Ladies 0-10 Handicap (Played in Navan)

Kathleen Geraghty (Skryne) beat Yvonne Carney (Castletown)


Ladies 11-19 Handicap (Played in Navan)

Teresa Fagan (Royal Meath beat Ann Moran (Stackallen)


Gents Junior (Played in Navan)

Darren Forde (Navan) beat Danny Fitzpatrick (Navan)


Gents Inter (Played in Oldcastle)

Sean Clerkin (Bellewstown) beat Damien McGivern (Oldcastle)


Gents Senior (Played in Oldcastle)

Eamon Gibney (Castletown) beat Anthony Gibney (Navan)


Teresa Fagan from Royal Meath Eamon Gibney from Castletown each now hold both the Meath Strokeplay and the Meath Matchplay titles for 2018.
